“Good news from Egypt… The interior minister, the one who in the first place ordered the detention of the Mahalla labor organizers under the martial law, has just ordered their release! The Mahalla 3 in addition to a detained dentist (Ibarahim el-Yamani) have been transferred from the Bourg el-Arab Prison, to el-Gharbeia Province Security Directorate, and according to a Socialist activist they are currently in Tanta’s State Security Police HQ, pending their release…” says Hossam el-Hamalawy.
