This discussion will be moderated by Judith Butler, UC Berkeley Professor of Rhetoric.

Richard Falk is the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights to the occupied Palestinian territories, Professor Emeritus of International Law at Princeton University, and Member of the Editorial boards of The Nation and The Progressive.

Samera Esmeir is Assistant Professor of Rhetoric at UC Berkeley, an Editor of the Middle East Research and Information Project, Co-Founder of Adalah’s Review, and author of upcoming book Juridical Humanity.

Both will speak at UC Berkeley on March 10, 2009 on the current state of the so-called peace process as well as the legality of Israeli actions under international law.
